Our club mission to provide exhibition opportunities for, and to promote the work of, our professional artist members is specifically addressed by our annual Members’ Exhibition. Once again the Broome Street Gallery in the heart of Soho was the venue for three weeks from April 13 through May 2. There was a full complement of two-dimensional and three-dimensional work by 85 artist members from across the country. The high quality of work was noted in a rave review in Gallery & Studio and by a curator from International Exhibition Service, Milan, Italy. Awards were presented at a reception on April 17 by our president Lucille Berrill Paulsen. The Anna Hyatt Huntington Horse’s Head for Best Painting went to Gabriela Dellosso for her “Self Portrait,” and the corresponding Horse’s Head for Best Sculpture went to Jinx Lindenauer for “Golden Head.” The other awards were, for oil and acrylic, Carolyn Hess Low, first, and Kathy Krantz Fieramosca, second; for watermedia, Dorothy Dallas, first, and Barbara Scullin, second; for graphics, Cary Thorp Brown, first, and Karen Whitman, second; for pastel, Jacquelyn Kammerer, first, and Florence Biondi, second; for sculpture, Jean T.

Chairwoman Fran D’Atria Romano wishes to extend her gratitude to Lucille Berrill Paulsen for her leadership and to Marsha Tosk and Priscilla Heep for providing a wonderful reception. And lastly to all the members who helped organize this event.
