Her painting of the newly restored Grand Central Station won acclaim at the CLWAC’s 2001 Members Exhibition. Light is the essence of her many paintings of the city’s Central Park - light as it touches a pavilion, a boat house or a bridge lending an air of mystery and timelessness. Her paintings of the city’s brownstones also focus on light, mood and weather. Her floral paintings are lovingly depicted. |

A cum laude graduate
of Adelphi University, Inge was a business major with some elective courses
in art history, but not until 1971, when she studied still life at the
Art Students League with Mario Cooper, did she become fascinated with
watercolor - a fascination that continues today. She took workshops with
many great watercolorists and teacher, including Ed Whitney, Carl Malmo,
Betty Lou Schlemm and Ruth Baderian, and art courses at many New York
schools including Pratt Institute, Parsons School of Design, and Cooper
Union. She also studied pastel with Daniel Greene and Richard Pionk. |

She has been an active member
of the Salmagundi Club since 1978 serving on Her work is in many private collections including those of Windsor & Newton Company, the East River Savings Bank, and a Russian diplomat living in Moscow. She has performed demonstrations of her techniques, has been filmed for a CNBC documentary, and has taught watercolor privately. |

| Many adjectives
come to mind when one thinks of Inge: gentle, gracious, competent, responsible,
honest, warm. She has been the backbone of CLWAC for many years. As Treasurer,
she has kept the club on a solid financial footing, and she served as
Annual Exhibition Catalog Chairwoman and has chaired the annual Members’
Exhibition and Annual Luncheon. This club would not be the strong, vital
organization it is without the efforts and hard work of this gallant lady.
