Jennifer Anderson
Jennifer Anderson considers herself blessed with wonderful experiences which have given her a deep inner appreciation for life, focusing her work on the beauty within the people and places she has experienced.
For the past six years, Jennifer has spent her time in numerous cities in the United States, including New York City, Washington D.C., Dallas, Los Angeles, Shreveport, Baton Rouge and Stowe. After working in advertising for three years in Texas, Jennifer resigned from her position at a design agency and intensively devoted herself to the study of painting. In 1998, she began her studies at The Art Students League in Manhattan under the instruction of Frank Mason, a contemporary master of Dutch portrait and plein air painting. Jennifer also studied with Robert Liberace at The Art League School in Alexandria, Virginia. Extensive travel, her Louisiana heritage and yearly trips to the beach have influenced her work and way of thinking. She has spent months abroad in Europe studying the works of the masters as well as today’s contemporary artists.
Jennifer’s work is described by most as bright, vivid, and elevating. Her paintings capture the grace of the individual ~ man, woman, and child. They encourage us to recall and reminisce upon the meaningful times in our lives. While viewing, we let go of our egos, we recapture the universal adventures and joys of our childhoods, we think of those we cherish and have cherished, and, most importantly, we realize the spirit of the human being.
