Shirley DANI Leyrer

 

DANI received her art education from Pasadena City College, Laguna Beach School of Art, Orange Coast College and the University of California, Long Beach.

In 1984 she was accepted into the Orange Coast College Hall of Fame. Her sculptures are included in the permanent collections of the R W Norton Foundation, The Favel Museum, and The Carnegie Art Center Museum. Recent honors include being selected to participate in the California Art Club's 90`' and 92" Annual Gold Medal Juried Exhibitions, featured sculptor at Gallerie Gabrie in Pasadena, and Solo Exhibition at Simic New Renaissance Gallery in La Jolla. This year, DANI'S "Ethereal" sculpture was donated to the Academy of Fine Arts Foundation and sold in auction at Art Expo in New York, where the Foundation received a generous response. DANI is now a Rembrandt Member of the Foundation. Her professional biography is published in 2000

Outstanding People of the 20'h Century and Who's Who in American Art. In addition, DANI participated in the Invitational AKIM Exhibition and Auction held by Sotheby's in New York, as well as juried art exhibits in such venues as the San Bernardino Museum of Art, the Laguna Beach Museum of Art, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, The National Academy of Design, the Salmagundi Club, Catherine Lorillard Wolfe, the American Artist Professional League, and the Hudson Valley Art Association.
