Background

Artist, Teacher, Juror, Demonstrator was born in Brooklyn
Terry attended NY Students League, the New School and Douglaston Art League. Her fascination for watercolor has led her talent and ability to be broadened and enriched by studying with notable art teachers near and far.

Besides working in watercolor, other mediums include:

• Acrylic

• Oil

• Pen and Ink

• Pastel

Her diverse subject matter includes landscapes, florals, still life, and figures incorporating beautiful use of color, light, and texture in her work.

Terry is the recipient of many awards. Most recently she was awarded Second Place Watercolor in the East Islip Annual Exhibition. Her paintings are in private collections in England, Puerto Rico, Seoul, Thailand, and the United States.


Teaching Experience

• Taught oils for ten years with young Israel
Bedford Bay in Brooklyn, NY

• Presently conducting numerous watercolor classes in Brooklyn, NY

• Kingsborough Community College Staff Member for adult education art classes

• Associated with Brooklyn Botanical Gardens

Brooklyn Watercolor Society - President for 3 years; treasurer and committees chair
