Gloria Spevacek
Biography
Born in New York City of Mexican immigrants. Studied art from preteen age, in multiple NY art schools mostly on scholarships. Worked in advertising agency after HS. Joined the US Navy, served in the Medical Corps. Graduated from The Cooper Union for Arts & Science, NY. Worked as Medical Illustrator and Media Chief at the VA Medical Center, Bronx, NY. Left the VA to pursue her life long sculpture dreams. She still lives in New York City, with a studio in LIC, Queens, NY.
