Our President's Message
We congratulate this year's participants and award winners, who come from across America and Europe. Again, we are lucky to have our 109th Annual Open Exhibition in the charming and historic National Arts Club. Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club's Board of Directors is grateful for the continued support of our friends at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Grace Church and the National Arts Club.
Our Club's mission is to provide and promote opportunities for women artists, so each year we present generous awards. CLWAC takes great satisfaction in the quality of work produced by its members and other professional women artists exhibiting with us. This year you will find a donation envelope in the catalog. We are asking for your help in funding our continuing efforts to present awards that are commensurate with the fine work of our participating artists.
The CLWAC is a special organization. Should we tap you on the shoulder and ask you to work in our Club, it is because we think you can contribute your skills and make us stronger. There are numerous ways to help: You can become a member of the board, head a committee or chair a show. Don't be shy. Step up to the challenge and join us for one of these tremendously satisfying growth experiences.
This exhibit took the better part of a year to put together. Talent, energy and countless untold hours went into the planning and execution of this exhibition and catalog. We thank the juries, judges, board of directors and committees who worked together and the volunteers who helped register, hang and arrange this show. This exhibit is a credit to us all.
