Our President's Message
Our 113th Annual Juried Exhibition at The National Arts Club in New York was a wonderful success. Everyone who attended noted the large amount of strong work presented this year. Congratulations, and thank you, to all who participated. Special thanks to the dedicated members, associates and friends who helped put this year’s show together.
The benefit reception was well attended. Kerston Larsen, Chief Development Officer from the Metropolitan Museum Of Art, was our featured speaker and Bob Trien on piano provided entertainment, once again this year. Peter Kenny, Administrator of The American Wing and Curator of American Decorative Arts at the Met, addressed the Awards Dinner. Many of the award winners were in attendance as well as our Honored Member, Amy Unfried, who graciously addressed the membership. The Creative Hands Awards was given this year to Joyce Zeller, our former president, who has been a great asset to the club. Congratulations to her for her special honor.
I am excited about the New Year, and as the clubs president, I am making a resolution to help create an exciting members show this spring. I look forward to seeing our members showcasing their best work in 2010.
