GailE Snow Gibbs
“Observation has been my life.
For twenty-five years my powers of observation were well honed as an advertising art director and creative supervisor.
To recognize consumers’ wants and needs was all important.
Success was always in finding that “something special”
that set a product apart from all the others.
Now whether I’m painting a portrait or a still life, my goal is basically the same;
Capture a subject’s unique qualities and celebrate them
with joy and enthusiasm.”
Ms. Gibbs has been published in International Artist Magazine as an award winning member of the Salmagundi Club and is included in the permanent fine art collection of the Magic Castle in Hollywood and Roosevelt Hospital. Her paintings can be seen regularly at the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Members’ and Annual Open Exhibitions and the Salmagundi Art Club Member Exhibitions and Auctions.
Ms. Gibbs has been President of Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club and a Vice President on the Board of Control of the Art Students League. She is a Fellow of the American Artist Professional League, and elected artist member of Allied Artists of America, and the Salmagundi Club, the oldest professional art club in the United States.
