The common thread through out my work is my fascination with the figure;  It’s timeless, beautiful and powerful. I draw additional inspiration from the old masters, modern day advertising, graffiti and body art. My goal is to combine these elements, with my own imagination into a cohesive, strong statement that intrigues and engages the viewer


Originally from the UK, Cook studied at the National Academy School of Art and the Art Students League in New York City. She also holds a BA in Art History.


Awards include Gold and Silver medals from Allied Artists of America and the Salmagundi Art Club, Best in Show from Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club. Cook is an elected member of the CLWAC, Salmagundi Art Club, Pastel Society of America, and Allied Artists of America. She teaches at the Pastel Society of America, at the National Arts Club.


Cook’s will have her third solo show at Dacia Gallery, NYC in 2016 and has participated in many group shows including Women Painting Women at Principle Gallery, SC; Art from the Boros II at Denise Bilbro Gallery NYC;  Allurers Prerogative at TheSix Summits Gallery, CT, Celebration of Kazakhstan at the United Nations, The Salmagundi Masters, at The Salmagundi Arts Club, NYC and She Depicting Her at Alex Adam Gallery, NYC. In 2013 she participated in the Fountain Art Show, at the Armory, NYC with Dacia Gallery.


Museum shows include a four-person invitational at Trenton City Museum, NJ, where her work is held in the permanent collection and group shows at Mattatuck Museum Ct, National Academy Museum, NYC, Hudson River Museum, NYC, and Maritiem Muzeeum of Vlissingen, Netherlands. 


Cook’s work has also appeared on NBC's Secrets To The Code Dateline (NBC Universal, Inc), and in the Times of Trenton, NJ,,, The Epoch Times, The American Art Collector, Fine Art Connoisseur, American Artist Magazine, The Pastel Journal and
