Marian Flahavin

Marian Flahavin’s work has always expressed her fascination with the human figure - the “life” that makes that figure who it is. Her pastels and bronzes have been juried into and awarded in numerous National Shows in New York City, at the Butler Institute of American Art, the Salmagundi Annual, the Pastel Society of America, the Portrait Society of America’s Membership Annuals and many others. She has received a Gold Medal for Pastel in the American Artist Professional League’s Grand National juried show.

She was recently named a full member of Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club. She also has been named a Fellow Maxima Cum Laude by the American Artists Professional League. She is a Signature member of the Pastel Society of America, the Pastel Society of the West Coast and the Northwest Pastel Society as well as being a Washington State Ambassador for the Portrait Society of America. She is included in “Who’s Who in

American Art,” and “Who’s Who in America” and “Who’s Who of Women.” Her projects range from an oil portrait of the founder of the the University of Washington Law Library to solar lighted bronze garden sculptures called “Fireflies."
