Elayne Spinks Kuehler

Elayne Kuehler, a Baton Rouge, Louisiana native, is a romantic realist with a passion for capturing the beauty she sees in life.  Painting in oil, she works directly from life but finds photography helpful when painting landscapes.  She firmly believes nature is the best teacher.  She also paints still life and portraits.  Favorite old masters for her are Vermeer, Corot, Chardin, Constable, Rubens and William Trost Richards among others.

Elayne is a full member of the Catharine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club, an Associate of Distinction member of the American Women Artists, a member of the National Oil and Acrylic Painters Society, a member of Oil Painters of America, the Hudson Valley Art Association, the American Artists Professional League, a member of the Associated Women in the Arts in Baton Rouge and the Louisiana Art and Artists Guild.

Elayne teaches oil painting classes in her studio and teaches workshops nationally. Her work is shown regularly at Gallery 600 Julia Street, New Orleans, LA, and is also shown at the Catherine Lorillard Wolfe Art Club's exhibitions in New York City, and at the New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts.
